Dublin Robotics Board Meeting

Mark Your Calendars Dublin Robotics Board Meeting

April 2, 2014 – Dublin Coffman HS Lecture Hall – 7:00-8:00 pm

Agenda:

Two budget items need to be addressed and voted on.

FRC World Festival:

Move money from the registration fees to the bus expenses for FRC World Championship. We can not use money from our current grants sources. Students said that they wanted to start a letter writing campaign requesting funds from family doctors and businesses to compensate for not having a fundraising event this year. Parents please assist the students by bringing a list of your doctors, dentists, orthodontists Etc. with a phone number and street address and we will write the letter on your student’s behalf. This is as a team effort to raise money. This will directly impact the cost of the trip and allow for those with financial need to attend the trip. We need your help.

FLL North American Open Carlsbad California:

Team Mindstorm Megabytes won the FLL Ohio State Championship Tournament and will be representing Ohio at the FLL North American Open at Lego Land California. The coaches request additional funds for this event of up to $500 for project related expenses.  This includes $150 for 300 key chain clogs to use for a fundraising item. The team is asking for a $2 donation for each clog. Our tag line: Help us get one step closer to the FLL North American Open. We are trying to raise $5000 to help cover plane fare and hotel cost ($500 per student). The money is being collected through the Dublin Robotics Boosters and will be dispersed to the parents of each child since the plane tickets and hotels have been book through the parents.
