New volunteering opportunity: Dublin Irish Festival

Edit: The Dublin Irish Festival merchandise tents were a huge success this year. Sales went so well that by Sunday, we only had enough merchandise left for one of the two tents. Thank you to all the parents and students that volunteered to make this a success. If you weren’t able to volunteer this time, we’ll be posting more volunteer needs on our volunteer page.

The Dublin Irish Festival tents is our largest fund raising activity of the year. One that can help us attend an extra competition, buy new equipment, or continue to keep our registration fees low. It’s an important event and one that we’re proud to be asked back to do the last few years. This year, we’ll be running 2 separate merchandise tents during the entire festival, so we can really use your help.

FIRST® LEGO® League introduces STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) to children through fun, exciting hands-on learning. Participants gain real-world problem-solving experience through a guided, global robotics program, helping today’s students and teachers build a better future together. FIRST LEGO League’s three age-appropriate divisions inspire young people to experiment and grow their critical thinking, coding, and design skills through hands-on STEM learning and robotics.

During the 2024-2025 FIRST season, FIRST® DIVE presented by Qualcomm, teams will use their STEM and collaboration skills to explore life beneath the surface of the ocean. Along the way, we’ll uncover the potential in each of us to strengthen our community and innovate for a better world with healthy oceans. Join us as we explore the future.  Students will develop an innovative project, and build and program LEGO robots to complete missions in 2.5 minutes in the robot game.

The Dublin Robotics Boosters sponsors FIRST LEGO LEAGUE teams for the residents of Dublin City Schools.  This program is for rising 4th grade students through 8th grade students.  Parent volunteers serve as the coaches.

Registration is available now! Questions? Contact our FLL Booster VPs.
