FIRST Robotics Competition

Registration for High School Robotics has started. Please fill out the form and mail to Joyce Edwards (see address on the form) along with a check for $85 made out to Dublin Robotics Boosters.

The Dublin FIRST Robotics Competition offers students from Dublin’s three high schools unique challenges in science, technology, engineering, math, computer programming, computer animation, marketing, presentation, and community service.

The build cycle (the main season) for the high school team starts January 9th, and runs until Feb 21st.
Sessions will be held:
Monday and Thurs evenings 6:30 to 8:30
Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons 3:00 to 5:00
and all day Saturday 9:00 to 4:00
All sessions are held at the Coffman High School. Individual students will generally meet 2-3 times per week, depending on which build team they are on.

The Regional Competition is April 5th to 7th.

If the team qualifies, the World competition is April 25th to 28th in St Loius.

The Dublin Robotics Team is coached by Greg King, winner of the Woody Flowers Award in 2009, and Troy Dramble. Students from The Ohio State University School of Engineering, many of them former Dublin Robotics team members, serve as mentors.  Advisors from Dublin City Schools and the Dublin Robotics Boosters also support the team.
